Games/products: Aristocrat offers a full suite of standalone video and stepper slot machines, multi-station and multilevel progressive gaming, as well as Oasis, leading casino management software system. The backbone of Aristocrat’s product portfolio is the multi-line, Reel Power standalone and Hyperlink product offerings. Multiline games are the hallmark of Aristocrat. They use a variety of different line combinations across five reels in order to pay out. Aristocrat produces three-, five-, nine-. 10-, 15-, 20-, 25-, 50-, 100+ -line games in a variety of denominations. Aristocrat’s patented Reel Power games involve the purchase of reels instead of lines, which opens up the power of scatter pays for all winning combinations, imparting a fresh new way to play. Hyperlink, Aristocrat’s patented linked bonusing product, connects entire banks of gaming machines to a progressive four-level jackpot. Hyperlink’s most distinguishing feature is its unique second-screen jackpot game that, when randomly triggered, determines the level of the prize. Popular recent games include The Sopranos, Fortune King Hyperlink, Millioni$er, Cashman Tonight, Power Pay and Banana King. The Viridian cabinet powered by the Gen7 platform (which provide games with eye-popping graphics and rich stereo sound) released in late 2008 in the U.S. market is already the installed base in more than 6,000 installations while the Viridian RFX Stepper is already reworking many Aristocrat game titles in stepper form.

New games/products: At G2E Aristocrat will showcase a wide assortment of new games, including Hit the Heights, which the company says creates a new game category. With its rocket-style theme and bonus features (including two video wheel bonuses) give players a completely interactive and entertaining experience. Players touch the screen to launch rockets up the video wheel to the top box. When the wheel is filled with possible prizes, it spins shooting fireworks. Prizes get bigger as the player works his way up levels of the top rocket, and if a firework spark lands on a prize the player wins it. One of the more unusual games is Jeff Foxworthy’s Redneck Rumble, its newest Triple Standalone Progressive. Keyed into Foxworthy’s standup comedy act, the five-reel video slot depicts rabbit-ear antenna TVs, bug lights, fishing poles, pickup trucks, beer cans, trailers and (of course) rednecks. Aimed at the 1-, 2- and 5-cent player, this 30-payline game with a 10-credit ante bet, a minimum 40-credit bet and four interactive bonus features provides highly volatile play. Players also can win one of three progressive jackpots that pay 1,000 to 100,000 credits. In the Gold, for Class III markets, is an Xtra Reel Power game in which players have the ability to purchase reels rather than lines and have 243 ways to win. The game has players searching for golden treasures, and as they collect gold coins, backgrounds become golden, which doubles win totals. When all backgrounds are gold, winnings are multiplied 10 times. While designed as a penny slot, this game can be configured for bets up to $2.

The new games offer higher hit frequencies and larger wins which increase the entertainment value for the player and optimize time on device. Multiple Vertical Wilds increase the reward potential and all wins are doubled during the Free Spin Bonus. Konami got into systems operations when it purchased Paradigm Gaming Systems. Today, the company’s slot accounting and player tracking and rewards system bears little resemblance to the original Paradigm system. The Konami Casino Management System (KCMS) has evolved into a powerful tool for effective management of a slot floor. Through the system, valued casino slot players are rewarded instantly and informed through LCD screens on the machines.

Games/products: The Jewelly Bonus Feature Game is the first of its kind in North America to add a multi-level stand-alone progressive to a multi-game lineup. Jewelly shimmers on screen at random, awarding players one of seven bonus features. To make her appear, players wager on all pay-lines and also bet on an extra 5 credits times the current line bet during standard game play. Because Jewelly bonuses are activated by a side wager, the base games keep their bonus games intact. Any player can switch from game to game on the same terminal and still have access to the progressives. Jewelly is available through the powerful sensys™ platform on the state-of-the-art prodiGi Vu terminal, which features dual 22-inch wide LCD screens, multi-channel audio for enriched sound, dual play buttons, remote play buttons, and an award-winning digital button board. The prodiGi Vu cabinet is fully downloadable, and its features enable automatic game updates.

New games/products: Spielo is also introducing the GameBoss, a linked gaming controller that connects multiple Spielo slot machines, enabling on-the-fly, on-demand switching between multiple progressives, tournaments, or community games. For example, operators can switch between a tournament with 40 games spread out over four banks including an overhead screen, to a 10-game progressive with corresponding overhead display, in just a few clicks of a mouse. GameBoss can transform banks of prodiGi Vu cabinets into Bingo Factory, the only bingo-based community casino game on the market. It’s a five-reel, 50-payline game that allows qualified players to compete together, and features a two-level progressive as part of the bonus. A qualifying player triggers the bonus by wagering a qualifying bet (minimum 50 credits) and getting “Let’s” “Play” and “Bingo” symbols on reels 1, 3, and 5, respectively. All other qualifying players can participate. During the bonus bingo round, the overhead screen comes alive with busy gnomes in a Bingo Factory production line, producing Bingo balls with numbers that are automatically daubed on each player’s on-screen cards.
