IGT spoke with a broad range of customers about the value of slot tournaments. Each time, operators told us tournaments were an integral part of their casino promotions. During the same research process, customers also shared their biggest challenges associated with running tournaments. This feedback led to the release of the new IGT Tournament Manager application – the core component of IGT’s overall tournament management solution.
The system includes player enrollment, score validation, emcee functions, and reporting capabilities, making the tournament process more efficient. Operators use a wireless tablet to check in players, verify their scores and print receipts. IGT Tournament Manager also features reporting and auditing functions for easier access to reconciliation data. Operators can configure the number of rounds and sessions, and manage complex multi-day tournaments using the flexible tournament creation wizard.
Players benefit, as well. With IGT Tournament Manager, players can enroll however they prefer – in person, at a kiosk or by phone. Registration and seat assignments can be completed using a self-service kiosk. Customer service is also enhanced, since casino hosts have more time to focus on players, rather than working on tournament administration.
These functions are available through IGT’s Tournament Manager and are critical to the smooth and efficient operation of a tournament. With IGT Tournament Manager, operators no longer will waste time and money on unnecessary resources, and players don’t have to wait in multiple lines to check in and get a seat.
