Greed is Good and Megabucks Multi-Level Progressive new from IGT

Take the money or try for more? This hot new MegaJackpots slot will have players trying for big wins on the wheel spin bonus. Greed is Good features a 3-reel, 5-payline base game, and offers a 5- or 10-credit max bet that’s perfect for mid-range and high denominations.

The base game offers players the chance to win on multiple lines, trigger the Greed is Good wheel spin bonus, or even take home a valuable top award.

Three “Greed” bars on an active pay line enable the Greed is Good wheel bonus. If the Greed is Good bonus is triggered on more than one pay line, the money in the player’s starting bank increases accordingly. At the bonus start and during spin intervals, the player decides whether to collect the money in the bank or spin the wheel and try for more. The wheel segments offer credit awards, a bank Doubler or Tripler, and “$” symbols, which collect special awards.

If the pointer lands on “Bankrupt,” the bonus ends and the player loses all credits in the bank. The wheel segments on Greed is Good are proportionate to the probability of landing on them, which gives players the ability to gauge the general risks and rewards of spinning the wheel.

IGT also recently released Megabucks Multi-Level Progressive, which offers a new dimension of winning for the venerable Megabucks game.

Megabucks Multi-Level Progressives REELdepth Video Slots feature IGT’s REELdepth 3-D technology that creates the look, sound and feel of spinning reel slots.

It’s symbol-popping, 3-D animation excitement – all without the 3-D glasses. Innovative REELdepth technology combines with the chance at a life-changing MegaJackpot to create the ultimate player experience.

In addition, Megabucks players now have a chance to win four in-house progressive awards, in addition to the top Megabucks jackpot progressive. With each increased wager, players not only have more chances to trigger additional progressive levels, they also increase the progressive amount.

Two five-reel base games are offered with this product debut: Reel Gold Video Slots and Triple Platinum Riches Video Slots. The games can be configured for 12-line, nickel-denomination game play or 60-line, penny-denomination game play.

When configured for 60-line play, the base game has a five-credit-per-line bet for a 300-credit maximum bet. Players who cover all the lines betting one credit per line, or a total of 60 credits, are eligible for the lowest in-house progressive level. If players wager two credits per line, they are eligible for the bottom two progressive levels. If they bet three credits, they qualify for the bottom three progressives, and so on. This means players can control the number of progressive levels for which they qualify.

The base games feature stacked bars that can fill the reel area. The number of stacked bars that appear starting from the left reel determine which progressive is awarded. If two stacked bars appear starting from the left, the lowest progressive, progressive 5, is awarded. Three stacked bars award the fourth progressive level, four stacked bars award the third progressive level, and so on. The number of stacked bars and progressives increase together.

The in-house progressives may be won in the base game and Free Games feature. Three scattered bonus symbols initiate 10 free games. The Megabucks top award is symbol-driven and can only be won from the base game.
