HOLLAND CASINO AND IGT INK INTEGRATED CASINO MANAGEMENT SOLUTION PACTInternational Game Technology (IGT) and Holland Casino have signed a letter of intent that will allow the Netherlands-based operator to use IGT’s systems solutions to complete the modernization and integration of casino management tools across all company properties, an ongoing endeavor Holland Casino has dubbed the MOSAIC project.
The letter of intent, which was signed by IGT CEO Patti Hart and Holland Casino CEO Dick Flink, at last month’s Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, is subject to the parties’ completion of a definitive agreement.
The goal of the project is for IGT to provide Holland Casino with an integrated membership and loyalty system enabling customers to enjoy fast, reliable rewards and coinless gaming. In addition, the implementation would seek to optimize operational processes and provide exceptional customer service, while incorporating responsible gaming practices throughout the entire solution.
Holland casino currently operates 14 gaming properties in The Netherlands that attract 5.5 million guest visits each year.
BALLY TECHNOLOGIES PUSHES IVIEW INTO MOHEGAN SUN, ESTABLISHES A NEW INTERACTIVE DIVISIONBally Technologies completed a systems and games contract with Uncasville, Conn.-based Mohegan Sun that clears the way for the use of Bally’s iVIEW player-user-interface and Elite Bonusing Suite on more than 6,000 gaming machines. This means the majority of slots at Mohegan Sun will be equipped with iVIEW Display Manager (DM) technology.
As part of the agreement, Bally will also deliver a lineup of new Bally ALPHA 2 Pro Series games, including several on the new Pro Curve cabinet, featuring the industry’s only curved LCD to emulate spinning reels on a video slot.
According to company literature, the iVIEW network is an interactive communication tool used by players and controlled by the gaming operator. iVIEW DM, with its picture-in-picture-style player-user-interface, is backwards compatible on nearly all gaming devices with a touch-screen display and provides a way for casino operators to present self-service player-account access, beverage ordering, marketing messages, and secondary bonus games on the main game screen-without interrupting play.
To help keep Bally atop the innovation wave, the company recently established Bally Interactive, a new division that will encompass mobile, Internet, and social initiatives, complementing its traditional games and systems business lines. This new division was officially unveiled last month at the Global Gaming Expo conference and trade show held at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
Through Bally Interactive, the Company will offer casino operators the ability to augment their land-based casino gaming with mobile and online play-for-free and wager-based games.
SOUTH POINT CASINO FIELD TESTING FUTURELOGIC'S PROMONET COUPONING SOLUTIONLas Vegas-based South Point Hotel and Casino is conducting an administrative field trial of FutureLogic’s PromoNet promotional couponing solution, the company announced at the Global Gaming Expo held last month and the Sands Expo Center is Las Vegas. Authorized by the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the field trial is expected to be completed late last month.
The PromoNet couponing solution gives South Point the ability to design and manage a wide range of promotional campaigns from the convenience of a workstation PC, turning ordinary slot tickets into eye-catching coupons. The PromoNet campaigns can be downloaded via a secure network to the slot floor, players club, restaurants, hotels and shops, providing an integrated couponing solution across the entire operation.
FutureLogic’s template-based PromoNet promotional couponing solution is unique in that it gives casinos the ability to recognize and reward both carded and non-carded players by automatically triggering marketing campaigns based on real-time game play metrics and player tracking information. This solution allows marketers to issue a coupon at the game, POS or HBE (hospitality, beverage, entertainment) location to identify, differentiate and interact with their most valuable players, even those not using a player’s club card.
