Twenty-one years ago, Oklahoma tribes signed the first tribal/state gaming compacts, allowing the facilities to include pari-mutuel horse race wagering along with their high-stakes bingo operations. Safe to say the Oklahoma tribal gaming industry has evolveda bit since then.

Today, there are 33 tribes involved in Oklahoma gaming, operating 116 venues that generate $3.4 billion in yearly gaming revenue, making the Sooner State the second largest tribal gaming market in the country and third largest overall. The facilities offer a plethora of gaming options, from tried-and-true high-stakes bingo to traditional table games to the latest in Class II and Class III slot machine concepts.

Overseeing this marketplace is the Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association (OIGA), a trade association whose purpose is to educate and disseminate information to the tribal, federal and state governments and the general public on issues relating to tribal government gaming. The group also promotes the general welfare of the Oklahoma Indian Tribes through the development of sound policies and practices with respect to the conduct of gaming enterprises in Indian Country.

To help fulfill its mission, OIGA holds an annual Conference and Trade Show, which will take place this year at the Cox Center in Oklahoma City August 12-14. This year’s event, which will be the nineteenth for OIGA, is expected to attract upwards of 2,500 attendees—a cross-section of tribal gaming executives, state officials, industry vendors and others interested in learning more about the state’s burgeoning casino marketplace while networking with peers.

One of the highlights of the OIGA show remains its exhibit floor, which is sold out and will feature an eclectic mix of gaming products and services. We provided some of the companies exhibiting at OIGA 2013 a chance to describe some of the products/services they will be highlighting on the show floor. Here are their responses:

In all bonus rounds, all prizes are multiplied by the player’s community multiplier.

Triple Bonus is a game comprised of four cards with 15 numbers each where 30 balls are drawn from a central server. At the end of the main draw, players will be offered the opportunity to join the 10-level EXTRA BONUS. At every level, a new ball will be drawn that will be marked on the activated card and it will offer the chance to win more prizes.

Besides the guaranteed prize, Triple Bonus has 11 prizes plus the jackpot and a bonus, which is activated after the player wins the SQUARE prize.

The Ortiz jackpots, on all of our titles, are true community bonuses, sharing winnings between all players. When a player wins a jackpot, every other player on the bank of games wins a percentage of the jackpot. Meanwhile, the big winner gets the full jackpot amount.

Suddenly, the players are encouraging each other to bet more to increase the jackpot amounts to be shared. This brings true community excitement and participation to the gaming floor and increases time-in-chair.
