American Gaming Sys-tems (AGS), a growing manufacturer and operator of gaming machines with more than 8,000 units currently in operation, has roots in the gaming industry dating back to 1996. The AGS current portfolio of products includes Class III and Class II machines, wide-area progressives and specialty games.
Ken Bossingham has been appointed the new chief operating officer. Bossingham, who has over 15 years of industry experience, will be responsible for AGS’ U.S. operations, including manufacturing, service and installation, call center and sales and marketing. He plans to leverage his experience to create a culture of excellence for AGS.
At G2E 2013, AGS will feature the It Pays to Know line of games, a series of games which utilizes trivia to involve the player, creating an engrossing experience that keeps players engaged. The first title in this series is Ripley’s Believe it or Not!, which launched this summer. AGS will be displaying the next game in the series, which is Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? A proprietary 3-D graphics engine and AGS’ Roadrunner platform—which features an accelerated video frame refresh rate, producing crystal-clear graphics and superior game-play features—power the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? game. Roadrunner also allows AGS to develop both Class III and Class II titles that give players the same entertainment experience and boosts AGS’ commitment to support its Class II customers and markets.
It has been a year of significant progress for AGS with the completion of a field trial in Louisiana, a current field trial in Nevada and an upcoming field trial in Mississippi; the company has plans for aggressive expansion that will give casino operators new machine options and creative new content.
