International Game Technology (IGT) recently announced the extension of a route management software deal with M3 Technology Solutions (m3t) and the addition of a renowned video game designer to its DoubleDown Casino division.
The deal between Norman, Okla.-based m3t and IGT pushed the companies’ Route Management System (RMS), a customized management system for public gaming and video terminal route (VLT) operators, into the global marketplace. Previously, RMS was offered in Illinois, were it is used by 1,500 video gaming locations.
“m3t and IGT have partnered to offer integrated hardware and software solutions in the United States for many years,” said Kent Bowden, CEO of m3t. “m3t continues to develop partnerships to offer public gaming and route operators the best possible management solutions.”
The partnership combines m3t’s RMS and ATM-enabled self-service ticket redemption kiosks with IGT’s top-performing products, enabling public gaming and route operators to manage multiple properties from a central location. RMS was showcased last month at the ICE Totally Gaming tradeshow in London.
“As a reflection of IGT’s pioneering spirit, our expansion into the global market with m3t is an extension of our success in providing custom solutions to public gaming and route operators managing video terminals in the United States,” said Joe Sigrist, vice president of product management and product development for IGT.
Meanwhile, IGT announced that Jim Veevaert has joined IGT's DoubleDown Casino as its new vice president of games.
