Caesars Interactive Entertainment, Inc., one of the largest online, mobile and social games focused on casino entertainment, today announced numbers around online gaming’s one year anniversary in New Jersey. The numbers highlight total player participants, total dollars wagered and data points on the player profile.
In 2014, 57,609 players participated in real money online gaming through Caesars Interactive including HarrahsCasino.com, WSOP.com and CaesarsCasino.com. Caesars players’ ages spanned 80 years with the youngest player being 21 years old and the oldest player being 101 years old with the average player being 37 years old.
Perhaps the most staggering number is the dollars wagered which totaled $910,547,346 across CIE’s websites including $529,157,594 waged on casino and $381,389,752 waged on poker.
“The numbers show a healthy and active marketplace for this activity. People are playing, people are enjoying themselves and using some of their discretionary time and entertainment dollars on this activity. While it’s tempting to evaluate success based solely on the monthly operator numbers, we feel these data points prove a strong foundation for growing the business in the years ahead,” said Seth Palansky, VP of Corporate Communications for Caesars Interactive Entertainment.
