120514_Primeviewlogo_300Primeview USA, a global leader in advanced display solutions, introduces HD-SDI (high definition- serial digital interface) connectivity for video walls in the broadcast market. The single HD-SDI input allows studios to now natively connect on-set video walls to their legacy technology infrastructure.

Eliminating the external converter to connect video walls to DVI or HDMI inputs, the HD-SDI single to cable video wall is designed to handle the most demanding live broadcast or staging events. The new solution transmits signals on a single cable therefore, it offers less points of a failure and is more cost efficient to install.

“Pioneering the way, Primeview is bringing an innovative solution to the market. Until now, the single monitors on the control side of the broadcast studios include HD-SDI and are extremely popular and very effective solutions. Now, studios have the ability to keep their current infrastructure of processing and graphics that they are comfortable with and bring in video walls for the studio side that has the same simple and reliable connectivity as their control rooms,” said Chanan Averbuch, VP of Sales and Marketing at Primeview USA.

The HD-SDI video wall solution is available in multiple sizes.

  • PRV46LCWLUN6SDI – 46” HD-SDI Embedded LCD LED Video Wall Display.
  • PRV55SNG01SDI – 55” HD-SDI Embedded LCD LED Video Wall Display.

HD-SDI is used particularly in the broadcast industry due to its capability to reproduce video content at the highest level of video quality. Being that there is no digital copy protection inserted in the signal, it makes HD-SDI that much easier to integrate into projects that require broadcast quality.
