Scientific Games General Counsel and Executive Vice President Katie Lever chaired the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women Luncheon February 27 at the Bellagio Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nev. More than 400 people attended this annual event, which brings together the Southern Nevada community to raise awareness, share heart disease survivor stories, and ultimately combat the disease which is the no. 1 killer of women. This year’s Las Vegas Go Red For Women Luncheon raised $399,177, which is a record in the Las Vegas Chapter of the American Heart Association’s 10-year history, and exceeds the organization’s 2015 goal by $75,000 or 23 percent.
“The Go Red For Women Luncheon is an amazing opportunity to raise awareness and build advocacy in our community,” Lever said. “The overwhelming support we receive ensures that we can continue to battle cardiovascular disease and work to protect women’s hearts through research and education.”
Scientific Games was a Platinum Sponsor of the Go Red For Women Luncheon, and its executives turned out to support the event and help promote women’s heart health. “Our company is proud to support and contribute to such a powerful, life-changing organization like the American Heart Association,” said Scientific Games President and Chief Executive Officer Gavin Isaacs. “Katie Lever is the ideal person to chair this inspirational event.”
