Responsive to the growth of its Tribal enterprises, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians announced that former FBI Assistant Director for Counterterrorism and former Vice President of Corporate Security at Target Corporation, Mr. Ralph Boelter, has accepted the position of chief security and risk officer.
With a strong law enforcement and security background spanning 20 years with the FBI that included an assignment as Assistant FBI Director of the Counterterrorism Division, Mr. Boelter will significantly add to our current capabilities in the ever-increasing assessment and prevention of risk. “The chief security and risk officer is a new position that reflects the tribe’s overall commitment to safety, security and risk management” said San Manuel Chairwoman Lynn Valbuena. “His duties will also include developing best-in-class protocols for cyber security.”
Boelter holds a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School, and a Bachelor of Public Administration in Criminal Justice. He also attended the prestigious FBI National Executive Institute in Quantico, VA, which has been described by the FBI Academy as the “FBI Director’s own program and as the crown jewel of the FBI’s executive training initiatives.”
