Swedish slots supplier Quickspin has appointed Tomas Bergendal to the role of sales director as the firm looks to grow its presence in regulated and emerging markets around the world.
Bergendal, who will be responsible for overseeing the sales department and expanding the firm’s reach into new jurisdictions, will be based at the supplier’s Malta office and report directly to Chief Commercial Officer Paul Myatt.
He brings with him almost five years’ experience in the online casino industry and a total of ten years in sales, having previously held roles with Betsson and most recently Yggdrasil.
Welcoming him to the Quickspin team, CCO Paul Myatt said: “We are delighted to have brought Tomas on board. His knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm will help drive the business forward, and I’m sure he will play a key role in our future successes.”
Bergendal said: “I am excited by the new challenge. Quickspin has established itself as one of the market’s top suppliers, but I believe they have only just scratched the surface of what the can achieve. It’s an exciting time for the firm, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.”
Quickspin was founded in 2011 and has quickly established itself as a leading development studio for real money and social casino gaming. It now counts the majority of Europe’s leading operators among its clients.
Its slots are launched on their own platform to ease integration with online casinos around the world. In recent months they have signed agreements with over 35 operators, including most recently leading brands Betsson, 188bet, Danske Spil, Casumo, 888, and Marathonbet.
Quickspin’s popular slot, The Wild Chase, which is the company’s best performing title in the last three years, was this week nominated for EGR magazine’s Game of the Year award.
