Perfectly situated in the heart of all the energy and excitement of Las Vegas, The Cromwell remains the only standalone boutique hotel on the famous Strip.

The Cromwell, a Caesars Entertainment facility, is also one of the city’s newest properties, marking its third anniversary this year. The property features 188 rooms including 18 suites with a Parisian yet contemporary feel. Home to the award-winning GIADA—the first-ever restaurant by celebrity chef and television personality Giada De Laurentiis—and Drai’s Beachclub • Nightclub—a 65,000-square-foot rooftop pool and nightclub experience with amazing views—The Cromwell caters to a broad audience.

Indeed, despite its small size, the Cromwell has managed to survive and thrive on The Strip thanks in large part to its eclectic package of non-gaming amenities. For example, the aforementioned Drai’s Beachclub operates as two venues in one. Drai’s Beachclub Nightclub offers panoramic partying on The Cromwell’s rooftop. Created by renowned nightlife and hospitality visionary Victor Drai, the combined space offers luxe design, LED lighting and modern technology systems that fuse to create a social, multi-sensory atmosphere. For a daytime experience, The Strip’s only rooftop pool deck includes multiple pool areas and towering palm trees to enjoy while partying all day at the Beachclub.

Already home to impressive rooms and suites, dynamic gaming offerings and distinctive cocktail, dining and nightlife options, The Cromwell is looking to maintain its niche and edge, and has recently added several amenities including a 24-hour casual eatery called eatwell, an updated Interlude bar and lounge, a new high-limit slot area, enhanced concierge technology, eKey technology and an all-new sportsbook. The details on the new introductions were made in a recent press release and are outlined below.

Eatwell—A contemporary and convenient dining concept, eatwell offers up a variety of breakfast sandwiches, house-made pastries, salads, sandwiches, pizzas and more, served up 24-hours a day. With featured daily specialties, eatwell serves a unique assortment of options, presented in a quick-casual setting with comfortable counter and communal-style seating. Located adjacent to the entrance on The Strip nearest Flamingo Las Vegas, eatwell is easily accessible for hotel guests and visitors and proudly offers Starbucks’ full selection of coffees.

Interlude—With its centralized location, Interlude is The Cromwell’s socially-inspired bar and lounge, a place to gather, have a cocktail, listen to live music and enjoy the Las Vegas scene. Developments are in progress at Interlude to enhance seating, soften lighting and create a more open ambiance. Plans for a new stage for live entertainment will be added to the contemporary space along with a flexible television screen system around the perimeter. When complete, Interlude will also feature expanded video poker and updated casino-facing bar.

The Abbey—To further complement the high-limit table game offerings, The Abbey is the new high-limit slot area for VIP slot guests. Presenting more than 30 slot machines, including some of the newest and most popular, The Abbey has a host who provides a personalized level of guest service in an intimate and unique space that features distinctive warm woods.

Keyless technology—Customers are now free of the lost room key worry at The Cromwell and enjoy the convenience of using an electronic key in lieu of a traditional hotel key to access rooms. Hotel guests using the eKey receive a link to download The Cromwell app and an access code tied to their mobile device and reservation. When the app is downloaded, guests enter their ID number and can enter their room by placing their iOS device next to the lock. The eKey also activates the hotel elevator as a traditional key would.

Virtual concierge—Ivy is an automated, real-time guest texting program that acts as a personalized virtual concierge service guests can communicate with at any time during their stay. When checking in at The Cromwell, guests who provide a cell number will receive a welcome message from Ivy encouraging them to text her with any questions or requests. Ivy can recommend and book dining and entertainment experiences for guests, as well as assist with housekeeping and room service requests.

Sportsbook—Just in time for football season, The Cromwell debuted its brand new Sportsbook. Featuring best-in-the-city technology and picture-quality, the new sportsbook includes a 32-foot-long by 9-foot-tall LED video wall and a 9-foot-by-5-foot LED odds wall with ticker capabilities to see scores and updates from a number of vantage points throughout the casino. With flexible seating for approximately 50 guests, the new sportsbook is easily accessible and adds an enhanced level of energy and excitement to The Cromwell.

The game mix was also upgraded during The Cromwell renovations, but this was not the first time the property took a hard look at its slot and table lineup.

“There are a variety of factors that are considered for this as well,” said Blake Segal, senior vice president of operations for Caesars Entertainment and general manager of The Cromwell. “Should a current game that we have on the floor experience a decline in volume and/or performance, we replace with either another proven game or a new game. We may also look to remove and not replace based on a projected assessment of the incremental value of the next or last game on the casino floor. Obviously this is something we constantly monitor as well as review the useful life of our many games—but again, it comes down to the demand of the customer,”

With those practices in mind, The Cromwell has also recently launched a slew of player-friendly table games in the 40,000-square-foot casino and now offers some of the best odds to win big in Las Vegas, according to a press release. These games include:

Single zero roulette—Also known as European roulette and previously limited to high-limit areas, The Cromwell now has this table game on the main casino floor and with approachable table limits.

EZ Baccarat—Played the same way as traditional baccarat, EZ Baccarat is among the most popular baccarat games worldwide.  While the drawing rules are unchanged, EZ Baccarat eliminates the taking of the 5 percent commission after every winning bank hand.

3-2 shoe and double-deck blackjack—With affordable table limits among the lowest minimum bets on The Strip, blackjack at The Cromwell brings back classic Vegas gaming.

100X odds on craps—The Cromwell now offers a super-generous 100X odd on craps with accessible table limits.

“As a boutique hotel our emphasis has always been on providing a great guest experience,” Segal said. “Now, we have extended that level of service to the casino by providing a variety of games that have more liberal potential payouts for the guests. We are proud to now have one of the best collections of player-friendly gaming options all under one roof and right at the center of the famous Las Vegas Strip.”
