Foxwoods Resort Casino recently announced that Ming Mak has joined the team as vice president of Asian marketing. Mak brings three decades of casino industry experience and a comprehensive understanding of Asian player development to the resort.
"Ming is the ideal fit for the role of vice president of Asian marketing, proven by his outstanding track record in not only the gaming resort industry, but in driving the Asian consumer demographic to casino properties," said Felix Rappaport, president and CEO of Foxwoods. "His extensive knowledge in business, marketing and Asian culture will prove essential as Foxwoods continues to appeal to a wide variety of guests."
Mak has held multiple leadership roles throughout his career, serving as the vice president of Asian marketing for Parx Casino. While in this position, he strategically implemented and developed marketing initiatives to establish the casino's name in the Asian community and build an impressive Asian customer base. Prior to his time at Parx Casino, Mak was a casino consultant for various cruise lines in Hong Kong from 2008 to 2010, the vice president of Asian marketing at the Atlantic City Hilton Hotel Casino from 1999 to 2007 and the Asian games director for the Tropicana Casino and Resort from 1996 to 1999.
In his new role, Mak will oversee the direction and management of all strategies, tactical sales and marketing programs geared towards Asian guests. His responsibilities will include expanding player development initiatives specific to the Asian market as well as planning, directing and coordinating marketing campaigns and event functions.
