Black Oak Casino Resort, an enterprise owned and operated by The Tuolumne Band of Me-Wuk Indians, recently announced the appointment of Joseph Bernardi as its new poker manager. The position come as the casino-resort prepares to open a new Poker Room on April 30. In the role, Bernardi will be responsible for startup operations for the room as well as implementing effective marketing, training and its policies and procedures. He also will manage employee delegation, budget, training, promotions and tournaments.
“Joseph is an exceptional addition to our Black Oak Casino Resort team,” said Aaron Moss, general manager Black Oak Casino Resort. “His vast set of skills within the casino industry, specifically poker will be an asset not only to our organization, but to the poker lovers that will be coming to our new poker room.”
Bernardi brings more than 25 years of diverse casino experience to his new position. Prior to joining the team at Black Oak Casino Resort he served as poker manager for Greektown Casino Hotel in Detroit, Mich. He held similar roles at casinos across the country including Jena Choctaw Pines in Dry Pong, La., Potawatomi Bingo Resort in Milwaukee, Wis., WinStar World Casino Hotel in Thackerville, Okla. and more.
