Caesars inks two new business deals
Caesars Entertainment recently signed off on two unique business arrangements with Foodbuy and IBM/SalesForce.
Caesars and Foodbuy, a subsidiary of Compass Group USA, joined forces to create Parlay Solutions, a group purchasing organization for the North American gaming hospitality and entertainment Industry. Parlay will begin serving members in September 2018, according to a press release.
This joint venture will combine Caesars’ expertise in the gaming industry, supplier relationships and sourcing capabilities with Foodbuy’s supplier relationships, analytics and procurement expertise.
Parlay’s founders bring expertise managing more than $20 billion in purchasing volume and nearly 30 years of experience. Parlay will help its members to generate savings, increase revenues, optimize spend from local and diverse suppliers, and delight guests with superior products and services. More than 200 Caesars suppliers have signed on to join Parlay.
“Parlay will help its members save on their supply chain expenses through purchasing efficiencies as well as help them optimize their spend with local and diverse suppliers,” said Mark Frissora, president and CEO of Caesars Entertainment.
In other Caesars news, the company announced last month that it is working with Bluewolf, a global consulting agency and IBM subsidiary, and Salesforce to enhance guest experiences.
Caesars is seeking new and innovative uses of technology that will result in unforgettable experiences for its guests and enhance customer service—both of which will result in long-term customer loyalty. Bluewolf’s deep Salesforce expertise and commitment to a collaborative and value-driven approach to digital transformation made them the ideal partner to help lead Caesars Entertainment to success. With Bluewolf’s help, Caesars Entertainment is aggregating legacy systems and historical customer data from multiple sources to create one unified customer profile (UCP). By leveraging Salesforce Lightning Platform services, including Heroku and Salesforce IoT, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud, Caesars Entertainment is using the UCP to connect into all aspects of the guest experience—from gaming to dining, entertainment and shopping—enabling its marketers to personalize communication and incentives in real-time.
