The Plaza Hotel & Casino is making the first and only permanent outdoor equestrian center in downtown Las Vegas. An official hotel sponsor of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR) and exclusive Host Hotel for the Junior NFR, the Plaza’s new equestrian center will feature two outdoor arenas for roping practice and exercise during the rodeo.

After NFR concludes, the Plaza’s equestrian center will become the city’s newest outdoor event venue diversifying the downtown experience and attracting more business and people to downtown Las Vegas year-round.

“There is no better way to pay homage to our western history than to create a home for rodeo downtown, where Las Vegas got its start,” said Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza. “However, this is not only about the rodeo. The Plaza’s new equestrian center is a testament to the continued growth of downtown. We look forward to welcoming a diverse schedule of outdoor events to the Plaza’s Core Arena and Equestrian Center beginning next year.”

In this expanded equestrian center adjacent to the hotel/casino, the Plaza doubled the number of equine stalls to 200, 80 of which will be available for year-round use. During NFR, the facility will offer the largest stalls in the city and 24-hour onsite security and veterinarian services.
