During the Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention (NIGA), the largest gathering of tribal leaders and casino executives in the country, Raving and their event sponsors return with the fifth annual Native Strong Comedy Slam. The event takes place Wednesday, April 3 at 9:00 p.m., at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego in the Gas Lamp District.

Join as three extremely funny Native American comedians, Kermet Apio (new for this year), Marc Yaffee and returning host, Larry Omaha, take stage. This evening of laughs benefits the Notah Begay III (NB3) Foundation and its critically important work addressing the health and fitness of Native American youth. This event is once again endorsed by Chairman Ernie Stevens, Jr. and the National Indian Gaming Association.

Proceeds of the event go directly to the NB3 Foundation in its mission to ensure Native children achieve their full potential by advancing cultures of Native American community health. Chairman Ernie Stevens, Jr. shared "The message we have to send to not just our children but for people to set an example for what we do today ... the message is clear, we have to have a healthier Native America.”

“The Native Strong Comedy Slam is a huge part of our ‘why’ at Raving," said Deana Scott, Raving CEO. "It is incredible to see the change that can come from tribes and industry working together to positively impact future generations.”

The night will begin with cocktails outside the Edge Room from 7:00-9:00 p.m. including a special comic meet and greet and open bar. Sponsored Seating at $1500 is the most popular ticket option and includes reserved seating for eight (two tables), logo on all marketing materials and select seating. For smaller groups, individual tickets start at $200 or you can reserve a single table at $750 for four seats.
