A new senior director of food and beverage has been announced at Gun Lake Casino. David Bennion has assumed the role.
“David is a tremendous addition to our leadership team,” said Sal Semola, president and chief operating officer for Gun Lake Casino. “We have become known for providing great dining experiences and David’s depth of knowledge and creativity will help us build on this winning program.”
Bennion comes with over 20 years of experience in casino environments and has planned and opened over twenty-five restaurant concepts. He began as an executive chef at Turning Stone Casino Resort and progressively assumed roles of increasing responsibility. Bennion served as executive chef at Pala Casino, Resort and Spa, director of food and beverage at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races, and director of food and beverage at Hollywood Casino Columbus.
He is classically trained in French and international cuisine, health and hygiene, and restaurant management from Colquitt Culinary College in England. Bennion moved to the United States of America in 1987 and became a citizen in 2005.
Bennion will oversee all areas of food and beverage operations for Gun Lake Casino including Harvest Buffet, Sandhill Café, and all bars.
