BetGames.TV, a leading live-dealer betting games supplier, has hired Andreas Köberl as its new chief executive officer.

Köberl joins from Playtech Sports, where he started out as commercial director and then went on to head up the Trinity Bet Group, operating the Germany and Austria-facing sportsbook brand HPYBET. 

Holding several degrees in both engineering and business, including a PhD in high-tech marketing, Köberl will bring over 12 years of expertise from various positions involved in managing complex software products, including from within the aerospace industry and at Microsoft.



Jon Gagnon has joined Eilers & Krejcik Gaming (EKG) as vice president of sales. 

Gagnon will be responsible for expanding the company’s syndicated research offering with a specific focus on the digital and interactive gaming sector. Additionally, he will work on various strategic initiatives to help support the firm’s expansion efforts. 

Prior to joining EKG, Gagnon led sales and business development at two Facebook marketing partners, Toro (acquired by Google) and most recently, Bidalgo. His career in interactive gaming and tech startups began at Microsoft on the original Xbox and has spanned 20 years in roles ranging from developer to chief executive officer.



Innovative games provider ESA Gaming has hired Maria Luisa Malfasi as its business development manager to accelerate the company’s next level of growth. 

In her role, Malfasi will lead ESA Gaming’s commercial efforts and pursue strategic opportunities by fostering new partnerships and identifying new markets. The hire comes off the back of the launch of ESA Gaming’s EasySwipe portfolio earlier this year, a lightweight HTML5 mobile-first game family that integrates seamlessly into sportsbooks without disrupting the betting experience. 

Malfasi has over 15 years’ experience in the online gambling sector and joins the ESA Gaming team from iSoftBet where she held the role of senior account manager for three years.



Gaming and sports betting partner GAMING1 has appointed of David Carrion as its chief marketing officer. 

Selected for his data-driven skills and approach, the role will see Carrion build on the widespread international awareness enjoyed by GAMING1’s brand name, as well as taking the helm at one of the industry’s largest data science teams. 

Carrion brings a wealth of experience to his new position, notably at the BlackStone-owned Spanish Casino Group Cirsa, and at The Stars Group, where he led the company’s digital marketing transformation and growth before becoming marketing director of its renowned brand, PokerStars. 



Dan Webster has been tapped for the role of senior vice president of resort operations for Mohegan Sun. He has been with Mohegan Sun since its inception and most recently played a vital role in implementing the property’s health and safety reopening plan.

In his new role, Webster will oversee and implement strategies for various departments, including engineering, transportation, food and beverage, hotel, environmental services (EVS) and security. 

Webster began at Mohegan Sun as a HVAC mechanic and from there, became HVAC supervisor, central plant manager, director and chief engineer and, most recently, vice president of facility operations. Throughout these important roles within a large and complex resort and entertainment destination, Webster gained invaluable operational experience and leadership skills. 



Pronet Gaming has recruited Mark Schmidt as director of sales for Africa as it looks to accelerate growth across the region with its fully-customizable sportsbook, casino and omni-channel platform. 

Schmidt, who has more than 11 years’ experience in the continent’s sports betting industry, having held senior roles with leading regional B2C and B2B brands, will spearhead business development in the African region as Pronet Gaming looks to accelerate its expansion into emerging markets. 

Bringing a thorough understanding of the local market requirements and operating conditions, Schmidt joins Pronet Gaming from IMG Arena.



Tim Morrissey has joined Saratoga Casino Black Hawk as general manager. 

In his new position, Morrissey will oversee and lead all of the day-to-day operations at Saratoga Casino Black Hawk. He will work closely with the directors of all departments within the organization, to ensure the company continues to prosper in the competitive Black Hawk, Colo., gaming market. 
Morrissey has over 10 years of gaming related experience in the destination casino resort industry. He brings an extensive wealth of knowledge in overall operations, business unit optimization, database analysis and casino marketing to the position. 

Most recently Morrissey worked as the senior operations director at Royal River Casino & Hotel in Flandreau, S.D., where he helped lead the $30 million renovation and relaunch of the tribal casino. Previous positions include several director-level and leadership roles focused in marketing and operations throughout casinos in Nevada. 



Global architectural interior design firm Wilson Associates has promoted JoyceLynn Lagula to design principal of both the Los Angeles and Las Vegas studios, elevated from her previous role as design director in Las Vegas. 

Remaining headquartered in Nevada, Lagula will oversee design direction and business development for the two emerging Southwest offices, continuing to solidify the firm's presence in the gaming and entertainment industries while recruiting and mentoring local design talent to further bolster her teams. 

Since joining Wilson Associates in 2019—when the firm's Las Vegas studio was first established—Lagula has brought a wealth of knowledge in experiential design for hotels, resorts and casinos. Her project portfolio includes high-profile clients such as Resorts World Las Vegas, Holland Casino, MGM Resorts and Caesars Entertainment.
