✓ Facts checked against chumbacasino.com on Oct 23, 2026
Chumba Casino is the oldest name in US sweepstakes play and is run by the VGW Group, which also owns Global Poker and LuckyLand Slots. You play with Gold Coins for fun, and with free Sweeps Coins that can be redeemed for prizes under the Sweeps Rules. I went through the Sweeps Rules and Terms (both updated September 16, 2026), the help center and the app store listings. One limit: chumbacasino.com blocked our test connection on Oct 23, 2026, so the game details below come from Chumba's own homepage as archived on August 6, 2026, and the current first-purchase deal could not be checked.
- Free start of 2,000,000 Gold Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins, plus a daily login gift and an online request route worth 5 SC.
- Chumba-exclusive slots, a shared Grand Progressive Jackpot and Social Live Casino tables, with games from studios such as Playtech, Relax, Red Tiger and ReelPlay.
- Sweeps play is off in 16 states including California, New York, New Jersey and Michigan; gift cards start at 10 SC, cash at 100 SC with 5 to 10 business days after approval.
Chumba Casino rating
Why these scores
- Sign-up 3.9Detailed, versioned Sweeps Rules and a large free start, but 21+ only and the site blocks some connections outright, as it did ours.
- Games 3.7Chumba exclusives, a shared Grand Progressive Jackpot and Social Live Casino tables, but no published game count and a lobby we could not open on Oct 23, 2026.
- Welcome offer 4.22,000,000 GC + 2 SC free is one of the larger no-purchase starts; the first-purchase deal could not be checked.
- Purchases & redemptions 3.6Gift cards from 10 SC and no fees, but cash needs 100 SC and bank payouts take 5-10 business days after a 1-2 day review.
- Support 4.2The help center says support is available 24/7 for live support, with live chat, email and a contact form.
- Responsible play 4.6The broadest toolset we have seen in sweeps: purchase, play-amount and daily time limits, activity reminders, Take a Break and self-exclusion.
The overall score weighs purchases and redemptions most and is not a plain average: strong categories lift it, weak ones pull it down.

Games at Chumba Casino
Chumba does not publish a game count, and its lobby was blocked from our test connection on Oct 23, 2026. Chumba's own homepage, as archived on Aug 6, 2026, splits the library into slots, table games, bingo, scratchcards, instant win and a Social Live Casino, with rows for jackpot slots, classic slots, 10K Ways games and themes such as adventure, animal, Aztec, magic and fantasy.
A Chumba Exclusives row featured Deal or No Deal, Star Catch Jackpots, Trophy Catch, Drum Festival, Candy Land, Rocky Horror Show, Golden Cheese, Black Tide Fortunes, Cheers, Viva Frost Vegas, American Stacks and Roaring Strike. Chumba's game pages list RTP and volatility for each title, for example 96.96% for Twister Mania and 94.00% for Zen Tree Treasures.
Game providers
Studios shown in the Game Providers row on chumbacasino.com as archived on Aug 6, 2026 (the live site blocked our connection on Oct 23, 2026). Chumba does not publish game counts per studio.
Popular games right now
Slots (classic, bonus, jackpot and 10K Ways), table games such as Big Zero Roulette, bingo, scratchcards, instant win games such as Instant Keno and Nine Flags Plinko, and the Social Live Casino. Jackpot slots such as Zen Tree Treasures have four jackpot tiers, including the shared Grand Progressive Jackpot.
Live dealer and more
Chumba runs a Social Live Casino with live-streamed tables. Its homepage (archived Aug 6, 2026) featured Gravity Roulette, Gravity Blackjack, Live Roulette, Gravity Wheel and Crash Live as the top Social Live Casino games. We could not open the live lobby from our test connection on Oct 23, 2026, so the current table count is not confirmed.
How to get free Sweeps Coins
Registration gives 2 SC, the Daily Login Gift on the Get Coins page adds more each day, and Chumba runs Facebook giveaways and email offers. The no-purchase route is the online Entry Request: open the link in your account, scratch to reveal a template, copy it by hand on paper and photograph it in the app. Each valid request gives 5 SC. No purchase is needed for any of these.
How to redeem Sweeps Coins
Play your free Sweeps Coins through at least once (Chumba may require up to 20x), then verify your identity and bank details; Chumba also re-checks your phone number on the first redemption. Request a prize of at least 10 SC for a gift card or at least 100 SC for cash. Chumba reviews requests in 1-2 business days; gift cards then arrive within about 48 hours and bank payments within 5-10 business days. Cash goes back to the method you bought with: card and online banking purchases to a bank account, Skrill to Skrill. Chumba may cap redemptions at US$10,000 a day, and requests over 10,000 SC can take longer.
Exclusive games and jackpots
Chumba features its own exclusives row, and jackpot slots such as Zen Tree Treasures carry four jackpot tiers including a shared Grand Progressive Jackpot. A Daily Jackpots promotion was linked from the homepage in Aug 2026.
Mobile app
Chumba Casino plays in mobile browsers on iOS 13.4 or newer and Android, and its Sweeps Rules refer to a Chumba app and an Android APK. On the App Store, VGW also publishes Chumba Lite (4.5 from 2.6K ratings, 18+), a separate free social version of the game.
Legal status and state availability
Sweepstakes casinos are not licensed as gambling in US states. Chumba's Sweeps Rules v26.1 (Sept 16, 2026) exclude sweeps play in 16 states, and its Terms block access completely in CT, DE, MI, MT, NV and WA. New York's Attorney General announced an $8 million settlement with VGW (Chumba's group) on Sept 9, 2026, the Illinois Gaming Board sent Chumba Casino a cease-and-desist letter dated Feb 4, 2026, and Kentucky's Attorney General sued VGW in June 2026. Check your state's rules before you play.

You buy Gold Coins; Sweeps Coins come free with marked packs. Prizes go back to the method you bought with: card and online banking purchases redeem to a bank account, Skrill to Skrill. Gift cards are always an option. There are no redemption fees.
