Global Poker is the poker room in VGW's sweepstakes family, next to Chumba Casino and LuckyLand Slots. You play ring games, Sit'n'Gos and tournaments with Gold Coins for fun, or with free Sweeps Coins that can be redeemed for prizes under the Sweeps Rules. I went through the Sweeps Rules and Terms (both updated September 16, 2026), the Responsible Social Gameplay Policy, the help center, the Getting Started guide and the poker, casino, promotions and Refer a Friend pages. I did not play or redeem.
- A real poker room in sweepstakes form: Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Crazy Pineapple, Jackpot Sit'n'Gos, Mystery Bounty and All in or Fold, plus weekly and quarterly championship events.
- Sweeps play is not available in 16 states, including California, New York, New Jersey and Michigan, and you must be 21 or older.
- Redemptions start at 50 SC for cash or a gift card with no fees; bank transfers can take 5 to 10 working days after approval.
Global Poker rating
Why these scores
- Sign-up 4.0Facebook, Google or email sign-up is quick, but redemptions and the Daily Bonus need photo ID, a selfie and proof of address.
- Games 3.9The best sweepstakes poker room we know (ring games, Sit'n'Gos, Jackpot SnGs, bounties, championships), but the casino side is small and Global Poker publishes no game count or studios.
- Welcome offer 3.7Sign-up gives Gold Coins only; free SC come with the 50%-off first purchase (40 SC with $20), the Daily Bonus and an online request.
- Purchases & redemptions 3.850 SC minimum and no redemption fees, but few purchase methods, no crypto and bank transfers of 5-10 working days after review.
- Support 4.3The help center says live support runs 24/7, plus a ticket form and email.
- Responsible play 4.6Purchase limits with a 72-hour cooling-off, breaks you can set for poker, casino or both, and self-exclusion up to indefinite.
The overall score weighs purchases and redemptions most and is not a plain average: strong categories lift it, weak ones pull it down.

Global Poker welcome offer
Global Poker's sign-up gift is Gold Coins only. The first-purchase deal is the main way new players get Sweeps Coins, but you never have to buy: the Daily Bonus, giveaways, the online request route and Refer a Friend give free SC too.

Games at Global Poker
Global Poker is first and foremost a poker room. Ring games, Sit'n'Gos, Jackpot Sit'n'Gos (three-player hyper-turbos with a random prize pool, from GC 1,000 or SC 0.25) and multi-table tournaments run in both Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. Formats include Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Crazy Pineapple, bounty and Mystery Bounty tournaments, All in or Fold tables, Shovefests and private games, and the Bad Beat Jackpot leaderboard pays an estimated SC100,000 and GC100,000,000 a month.
The casino tab is a side dish. The slots page lists new, hot, classic and jackpot slots such as Diamond Panther, Lightning Nudge, Lucky Show, Western Gold, The Big Goreela and Super Hot 7s, and there are table games, instant wins, scratch cards and a Social Live Casino. Global Poker does not publish a game count or the studios behind its slots.
Game providers
Global Poker does not list game providers, studio filters or a game count on its own pages (checked Oct 23, 2026).
Popular games right now
Poker: Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha High/Low, Crazy Pineapple, Jackpot Sit'n'Go, bounty and Mystery Bounty tournaments, All in or Fold and private games. Weekly events include The Hydra (GC50M and SC100K guaranteed every Sunday, finals 20:30 ET), Sunday Scrimmage and Gold Digger, with a quarterly Global Poker Championship (Rattlesnake Open, Grizzly Games, The GOAT, Eagle Cup). Challenges and prize draws add extra rewards. The casino section has slots, blackjack, Caribbean Poker, Casino Hold'em, instant win, scratch cards and Social Live Casino.
Live dealer and more
Global Poker has a Social Live Casino with real presenters: live game shows, roulette, blackjack (with side plays such as 21+3, Top 3, Lucky Lucky and Perfect Pair) and baccarat. Global Poker says some Social Live Casino games were removed in California from September 3, 2025. Sweeps play is not available in California anyway. The live studio is not named.
How to get free Sweeps Coins
Claim the Daily Bonus after verification (it grows over seven consecutive days), enter Facebook giveaways, use Refer a Friend, or use the online Play for Free request in the Get Coins menu: you reveal a code, handwrite it on a 4×6 card or white paper and photograph it in the app for 5 SC per valid request. Free SC must be played once before they can be redeemed.
How to redeem Sweeps Coins
Verify your account first: upload a photo ID and a selfie in the Account section, and send a proof of address (bank statement, utility bill or government letter from the last 6 months, or a current ID). Then open Get Coins, choose Redeem Prize and pick a gift card through Prizeout or a cash prize. You need at least 50 SC won through play. Cash goes back the way you paid: card and online-banking buyers get a bank transfer, Skrill buyers get Skrill. The payments team reviews requests in 1-2 days; bank transfers then take 5-10 working days, Instant Bank Transfer usually under 24 hours. There are no redemption fees, and VGW may cap redemptions at $10,000 a day.
The Vault and Refer a Friend
The Vault is Global Poker's loyalty feature: verified players get 30% of the rake on qualifying ring-game hands and 30% of Sit'n'Go fees back as Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins, which you claim in your profile and must play through before redeeming. Refer a Friend pays you and your friend GC 100,000 + 20 SC once the friend verifies and makes a first purchase, rising to GC 150,000 + 25 SC per friend after three referrals and GC 200,000 + 30 SC after six.
Purchase packages
The slots page currently offers 200,000 GC for $20 instead of $40 with 40 free SC. Other package prices are only shown in the store. Unverified accounts can spend up to $3,000 per 30 days and verified accounts up to $12,000 (Getting Started guide), and purchases are not refundable.
Legal status
Global Poker is a sweepstakes platform, not a licensed US real-money poker site; its MGA licence covers the promotional play games and is not a US licence. In September 2026, VGW agreed to pay $8 million in a settlement with the New York Attorney General over its sweepstakes games. VGW did not admit liability, and it stopped offering Sweeps Coins in New York in June 2025.
Poker tournaments
Weekly guaranteed events such as The Hydra (GC50M and SC100K guaranteed every Sunday), Sunday Scrimmage and Gold Digger, a quarterly Championship series with merch and trophy prizes, and the Bad Beat Jackpot leaderboard.
Purchases and redemptions
You buy Gold Coins; Sweeps Coins come free with selected packs. Prizes are redeemed to the method you bought with: card and online-banking purchases redeem to a bank account, e-wallet purchases to the e-wallet. A gift card is always an option. Global Poker charges no redemption fees and does not accept crypto.

Support and account
The help center says the support team is available 24/7 for live support. You can also submit a ticket through the contact form or email [email protected], and complaints are answered within 10 calendar days under the Terms. There is also a Global Poker Discord community.
Global Poker plays in the browser on desktop and mobile. Its own pages do not mention a native iOS or Android play app; VGW's only App Store app with the name is 'Global Poker Clock', a tournament clock for live events.
Responsible play
Global Poker's Responsible Social Gameplay tools let you set a purchase limit (a decrease applies immediately, an increase only after 72 hours), take a 1 to 30 day break from poker, casino or all games, and self-exclude for 6 months, 1, 3 or 5 years or indefinitely. Tools apply per site, not across VGW's other brands. You must be 21 or older. If gaming stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER or visit ncpgambling.org.
