Table game operators at the 2013 Raving’s Cutting Edge Table Games Conference selected War Blackjack by War Blackjack Inc.; Riverboat Roulette by Double Luck Gaming and 3 to 1 Blackjack by Superstar Gaming as the Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of Casino Journal’s Best New Table Games competition in November. The winners were voted on by qualified attendees who were required to sample each of the 24 new games entered in the competition.
As the Gold winner, War Blackjack will receive floor space at Bucky’s Casino, Arizona; Chinook Winds Casino Resort, Oregon; a casino of Gila River Gaming Enterprises’ choosing (Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino, Vee Quiva Hotel and Casino, or Lone Butte Casino); Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort, W.V.; and Muckleshoot Indian Casino, Washington. Each of the three winners will also receive a range of consulting, marketing and sales benefits from Galaxy Gaming, with the level of benefit corresponding to their order of finishing.
“This was the fifth and largest edition ever of Raving’s Cutting Edge Table Games, which shows that table games, as many of our speakers and attendees repeatedly confirmed, are as strong a contributor to the financial success of casinos as they have been in many years,” said Randy Green, group publisher, BNP Media Gaming Group, publishers of Casino Journal and producers of the event. “All told, we had over 300 attendees, or an increase of 8.5 percent. We also had 29 exhibitors and sponsors and 25 entrants in the Best New Table Games competition, both of which represented 20 percent gains over last year.”
Raving’s Cutting Edge Table Games was composed of two full days of table games-oriented conference sessions and keynote presentations. It will return to Paris Las Vegas November 17-19, 2014.
